Why: This is an open invitation for all SME ’69 graduates to come and listen to 50’s and 60’s music, performed by your classmates. You do not have to be a musician to attend!

The Belltones will play one set and then the stage IS OPEN.

Lonny Fame and the Belltones

Lonny Fame and the Belltones, made up of your classmates – Bill Sniffen, Pete Martin, Lecky Pollard, Mark Bovos, John Bagby, Mike Herzmark, Rick Sherman and Rick Caplan, originally got together at KU to perform for charities and political causes in 1972. During the early 70’s the Belltones played at colleges, military bases, and bars in the midwest, Colorado, and the Great Lakes area. In 2006, after a 35-year hiatus, the Belltones got back together in Lawrence for a band reunion. Many SME classmates attended the reunion, and the band was asked to play at our 40th!
